Do I Qualify?
My credit is not the best. Can I still get approved?
Regardless of your credit history, all applications are accepted. We’ll work hard to get you approved with the lowest rates in Halifax. Bad credit, no credit, slow or late repayments, repossessions, good credit, bankruptcy, divorce, consumer proposals, new to the country, R9’s, self employed – we will work with you every step of the way to help you get approved!
I’ve been turned down for an auto loan before. How can you help?
We have extensive resources and experience in helping people with less than perfect credit.
I am currently in a lease, am I still able to get a car?
Yes. We can get you out of your lease regardless of what you owe.
I had a repossession – can I get a loan?
Yes. A repossession is an awful experience to have to go through and it has a massive impact on your credit worthiness. Our Credit Specialists can get you into a new vehicle and ensure it’s at a payment you can afford.
If I had a bankruptcy, or am still in a bankruptcy, can I get a loan?
Of course! We finance your future not your past. If you filed for bankruptcy yesterday you will qualify for a loan today. We can start reestablishing your credit that fast! Regardless of the reasons you went into bankruptcy we can help you get on with your life.
I’ve never had credit before. Do I qualify?
There are several programs dedicated to people who are new to credit.
Can I still buy a car if I don’t have a driver’s license?
Yes, you can finance a car without a driver’s license.
I need a car now! How long does it take?
We respond within minutes of receiving your application so that we can get you approved as soon as possible. We’ll help you select the car or truck you want and ensure you the best loan rates available. Often you can pick up your vehicle that same day.
Can I choose a car first before getting pre-approved?
Let our Credit Specialists get you approved first. Just like buying a house, get a pre-approval first – then you’ll know exactly what you can afford. We can quickly provide you with a pre-approval that we can then use to find the perfect vehicle for you. This method has the lowest impact on your credit rating because you don’t have multiple credit inquiries from multiple locations.
Do inquiries affect my Credit Score?
Several inquiries can reduce your Credit Score. It is not a good idea to fill out multiple loan applications. When you’re shopping around for an auto loan or more credit, you should know that when creditors check your credit, it places an inquiry on your credit report. For this reason, too many inquiries can actually make getting an auto loan more difficult. Simply completing our easy application will not affect your credit score. We know where and how to get you the best rates with the least impact on your credit score.
Is my personal information secure?
Absolutely! We never share or sell your information.
Financing & Costs
Are there any fees associated with the approval application?
No, applying is free! If and when you decide to purchase a vehicle whether it be cash or taking advantage of one of the finance programs, we will go over all costs associated with buying a vehicle.
Will I need a down payment?
A down payment will lower your monthly payment and save you some interest in the long run. The total amount required as a down payment will vary with each loan. However, in many cases you will be approved with no down payment.
Will a cosigner help?
We have loans available for everyone, but if you do have someone willing to cosign for you it may help secure a better rate and term. If you don’t have a cosigner don’t worry, we have programs that will work for you regardless of your credit situation!
How much are my monthly payments going to be?
The process of looking for the best auto loan rates begins with the assessment your own needs and financial situation. The current auto loan rates and terms vary according to credit history and the monthly payment capability.
Do I have to pay a penalty if I pay my car loan off early?
We will never put you in a loan that penalizes you for paying it off early. Making additional payments or paying a loan off in full is always a good idea because it will save you interest in the long run.
I want to lower my interest on a car loan I have now. Can you help?
Yes. Our Credit Specialists lower customer’s current car loans interest rates every day.
Can I use my trade as money down?
Yes! You can trade your current vehicle in and use it as a down payment. If you have a lien, or existing loan owing on your trade that lien or loan would have to be paid. However, our Credit Specialists can arrange to pay it off for you!
What if I still owe money on the car I’m trading in?
Don’t worry. Most people still owe money on the car they want to trade in. We apply the positive or negative equity towards your new monthly payments.
